We love visitors!

My good friend Shelley is in town and she brought with her 2 playmates for my kids. What a treat. Dallin, Zachary, Megan and David enjoyed the sights of D.C. in the beautiful sunshine. We were able to visit the new sea life exhibit at the

Natural History Museum and we also visited the,
National Museum of Art,
Botanical Gardens,
Washington Monument and
Air and Space Museum.

The kids could only handle so much walking, so we drove by the White House, the Jefferson Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial.

Did you ever see the Disney version of Sleeping Beauty?

This picture reminds me of Sleeping Beauty touching the needle before she sleeps for years or days until her prince comes.

Wouldn't it be nice to sleep like she did and have your prince wake you with a kiss (not a crying child with another behind him trying to defend himself?).

Honey, (Jon's Grandma) has been wondering how we enjoy our house, etc. So to answer her question, this is really were we have been living and sleeping for the past 2 months. Welcome to tent city! It is chilly at night, but you get to know your neighbors really well. Please come and visit I am sure we can make room..but bring your own sleeping bag.

Volunteers from all across America decorated these tents for the people of Darfur, they are to be used as classrooms in the refugee camps. The campaign had a celebration all weekend displaying these beautiful pieces of art before they were shipped off.
