at the neighborhood pond.
have you ever made an
alligator trap?
according to my boys it is made
by stringing rope from one side of the pond to the other.
then wrapping it around tree trunks
for the ultimate support.
now all we have to do is wait for the
alligators to come.
do you have alligators in your pond also,
or do they live in the street sewers?
Mountain beavers are the only things we have around here that like water........maybe when the boys catch an alligator, they can bring it up and we can keep it in the pool.

ReplyDeleteI remember those days--and the complete and utter dejection of not catching anything. I used to go out in the "forest" and tear up the traps so the boys would think something had escaped. : )
