Good Times Seattle

We spent the majority of august in Seattle vacationing with family and friends.  All our adventures were full of fun, excitement and a handful of firsts.

“There is another mountain!” Alexander declared again and again as we drove the 2 hours to  lake wenatchee to our friends cabin for a weekend. it was a magical place where all the kids were introduced to something new.

The d-man devoured paddle boarding spending much of his time pushing his way across the lake.

Z was not going to let an age restriction stop him from driving a jet ski.

Ajax was introduced to his potential wife. :)

Once we returned to my parents house it was all about playing with family.  The fun center was a hit for all of the bean cousins; 16 boys (a little help here, i lost count) and 5 girls in all!

Not a ride or game was missed, we did it all.  bumper boats, go carts, laser tag, train rides, and video games.

Gratefully i am pregnant and was not coaxed into going on the swingin’ screamer with them. too high for wimpy me. No thanks.

On a different day all of the cousins got together and played nerf battle-

capture the flag.  It brought back good memories growing up playing with my brothers and their friends.  Of course they loved having a younger sister always tagging along.

A few other favorite events include time out with grandpa and grandma bean at Snoqualmie Falls,

and the pool with a plethora of boy cousins, aunts and uncles.

The kids grew webbed feet.

Many of days would begin with swimming and end with it.

Watch out, i'm showing off my skills.

“Hit the mountain!” Alexander requested.

One morning Jon gave d-man the camera and sent him on a

photo scavenger hunt.  He was given clues to find particular flowers in my dad’s garden.  His task was to take a picture of each of his finds and report back.

It is always interesting to see what he comes up with when given the chance to actually be the photographer.

These are my favorite pics!

Whether it is the photographer or the camera i was reminded the canon powershot is not too shabby of a camera after all.

Our trip to Seattle would not have been complete without visiting the zoo and aquarium with grandma and grandpa bishopp,

dancing to music in the backyard while rolling around popping bubbles,

And a BIG thank you to my parents for feeding and caring for all of us.

Your company, cooking and memories made the vacation well worth it.
