some days are more special then others.
saturday, october 30th was one of those days.
dallin, you made the choice to be baptized.
earlier in the week when we were alone i asked you how you felt about being baptized. you said you were a little nervous. you also said you were afraid of making mistakes after you were baptized. i asked you if i made mistakes? you agreed with me, all the time. that is why we have a Savior. we are not perfect, but as long as we do our best to make good decisions, and take care of our wrongs, then we will still feel the sweetness of the holy spirit inside all throughout our life.
after you were baptized and your father gave a beautiful prayer, you squeezed me tight and whispered, “i feel the happiness of the holy spirit”.
i felt it too.
grandma and grandpa gave you the most handsome scriptures for your birthday with your name on them. you wouldn’t put them down all afternoon. you melted my heart when you declared the best birthday present was your new scriptures. i thought lego harry potter would have been an easy first.
what a wonderful memory you shared with your uncles, aunts, grandparents and cousins.
that night before bed you reminded me that having your family around was what heaven was going to be like.
i love that thought, because you’re right.
family, thanks for taking the time to make your way to our place for the special occasion.
dallin was REALLY happy to share it with you.
Kennedy's baptism was one of my favorite days ever. What a special thing for Dallin to have so much of his family there. Tell him congratulations for us!
ReplyDeleteThat boy is impressive. I love how close to our heavenly father children truly are. What a wonderful example he must be to his little brothers. Congrats Dallin on making one of the best decisions you can ever make :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Dallin! We are excited for him.
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting us be a part of it. Jordan talks about when he is baptized all the time now. (btw, what is up with my hair in that picture? one side is MUCH shorter than the other. hahaha)
