Thursday night was 9/11 so it startled me more than normal when the fire alarm sounded at 11:45 PM. So out we went. The alarm is REALLY loud. Probably loud enough for Alexander to hear. Despite the noise he didn't wake up. Two fire engines showed up 15 minutes later and couldn't find any problems, turned off the alarm and went on their way.
At 3:00 AM it went off again. No photos were taken, the excitement had worn off by then. Another evacuation, fire trucks, etc.
At 5:15 AM it went off again. By then Zachary was walking around in a daze so I told him to go back to bed with a pillow over his head. Jon was wearing ear plugs so he didn't stir and Dallin was so exhausted he didn't even roll over.
Needless to say, Friday was a long day for all of us, but we survived.
One of the downfalls of living in a new building is having construction in the building. They are building in a pizza restaurant in the lower lobby of the building, the water pressure was registering too low, which was causing the alarm to sound over and over again.
Friday morning while Jon was at work and Dallin was at school the alarm went off AGAIN and Zachary's first reaction was to run into his bedroom and hide. He fell asleep with a pillow over his head. We will review Fire Safety 101 when we get into the house.
That sounds like a horrible night...Ugh!
