Dallin Lived the Dream of Every Sixteen-Year-Old Boy
...I am grateful he is only six.

He had two beauty queens on each arm.

Miss Maryland USA and Miss Teen Maryland USA.
They were crowned just last night. (click to see, safe for work :-)

Alexander had an appointment at John Hopkins in Baltimore so Shelley and ALL of the kids joined us. What an adventure we were in for.

It all started at 7:00am. We were loaded in the car heading to Baltimore. Alexander and I were dropped off at the hospital while Shelly the Brave, is who she has been named, took the other 4 kids on adventures in the city of Baltimore. After they parked in the parking garage at the harbor they came across two beautiful girls all dolled up. Shelley asked why they were dressed up and they said they were having their first photo shoot since they just won the pageant the night before. Shelley tried to get all of the boys to jump in the picture but they were reluctant. Finally Dallin said, "well, I really don't want to,

but if I must."

Inspired by the steam coming up from the sewers, they decided they were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Once they ran as far as they could run without falling in the water, they were treated with hot chocolate at Barnes & Noble.

After we stopped in a suburb in Maryland for lunch we headed for D.C.
The kids explored the Lincoln Memorial.

Shelley was reminding the kids of the rules. She emphasized the no running part.

Zachary wasn't listening at the time so I asked him to read the sign to me.

"hmm, no smoking

no eating,

no biking,
no skiing through the grass,

no running."

What was that? No skiing through the grass?
As a safety precaution you have to watch out for those grass skiers.

Today was one of those days where you ask yourself "are we still in the same day because the morning seemed so long ago and is it only 3:30 in the afternoon?"

I was so thankful to be back in the car driving home with 5 happy kids!
