When we arrived at the Jamestown Settlement
we walked into America’s past during the time of the early 1600’s.
It was founded 100 years before Williamsburg, so many of the luxuries we found in Williamsburg were only dreamed of at the time Jamestown was settled.
We learned the community suffered terrible hardships and barely survived the Virginia Indians.
After touring the boats, although they were quite impressive, it was decided we would have died from Closter phobia or sickness in the 5 month expedition to America. There is a reason I came to earth now and not 400 years ago.
The rain scared enough people away giving us the opportunity to run through the settlers village without much fuss.
Visiting Williamsburg and Jamestown was on the wish list of our birthday boy. We were so grateful my parents joined us (or invited us) for the memorable visit!
That looks like so much fun! I am excited to go there some day! You are looking great ;-)
